The new Anthem BLX 200 Blu-ray player has just been released in Ireland

Priced at €650, The BLX 200 offers full compatibility with 24 movie frames per second playback. Since most movies are filmed at 24 frames per second, the Anthem BLX 200 will be able to playback movies in their native format, significantly reducing unwanted artifacts.

The model is compatible with standard DVDs with the added feature of 1080p upscaling through HDMI, giving new life and improving the picture performance of existing DVD libraries. Building on Anthem heritage of valuing audio as well as video quality, the BLX 200 goes well beyond standard Dolby Digital and DTS audio playback, the BLX 200 features Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD.  For those with extensive DVD collections, the BLX 200 includes compatibility with standard DVD and CD formats (including DVD-ROM, DVD-R, DVD-RW, CD and CD-R). With the added feature of 1080p upscaling through HDMI, existing DVD libraries are given new life.

For Custom installation it has a 3.5mm IR jack so you can control it from 3rd party universal remotes and controllers.
