JVC has announced its latest high-performance 4K2K D-ILA projector, the DLA-SH7NLG, which delivers ultra-high-resolution of about 10 megapixels (4096 x 2400, well beyond full HD 1080p of 1920 x 1080).
JVC says the projector's wire-grid optical engine helps achieve 10,000:1 native contrast for true, deep black levels, and dual 330W ultra-high-pressure mercury lamps help output a whopping 5,000 lumens of brightness (in single lamp mode).
Configuration of the DLA-SH7NLG can be stored and uploaded via a USB memory device, and the projector can be configured through a Web browser.
Also notable these days is that operational flexibility includes being able to stack a couple of these 110-pound projectors to serve up 3D images. Of course, the projector does cost $150,000 plus lens so it's not for everyone but if you are lucky enough to be able to afford one these projectors we can organsie a special private viewing in the main JVC headquarters in the UK.
